DELMAR- Nelson J. LaDuke, 82, passed away Friday, January 2,, 2015. Born in Black Brook, NY he was the son of the late Peter and Myrtle (McKee) LaDuke.

Nelson was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a 38 year member, Past Chief and past member of the Board of Directors of the Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of Albany County Rural Chiefs, Albany County Fire Police, Albany County Volunteer Fireman’s Association and a past member of the Turnpike Rod and Gun Club.

Nelson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene (Degen) LaDuke; his children, Deborah Burnham, Dawn (Jeffrey) Houck, Daniel (Suzanne) LaDuke, Sr. and Dennis LaDuke; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachary, and Joshua Burnham, Jacob (Jenna) Houck, Sr., Peter Houck, Daniel LaDuke Jr. and Christopher LaDuke, Morgan and Taylor LaDuke; great-grandchildren, Jacob Houck, Jr. and Jessa Houck; brothers, Roy (Joan) LaDuke and Thomas LaDuke; sisters-in-law, Marge (James) Flansburg and Marian LaDuke; several nieces, nephews and family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Eugene, Louis, Belva (Matott), Velma (Tice), Robert and Dale LaDuke. He will be greatly missed.He will be greatly missed

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl. Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.

Memorial contributions in Nelson’s memory may be made to the Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box E,Clarksville, NY 12041.
