Troy

TROY- Lawrence James Muscatello, 74 was called home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2026. Born and raised in Troy, NY, he passed away peacefully after battling many health challenges, without a complaint.

Larry was a remarkable person whose presence brought comfort, joy, and unity to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he faced life with special needs, he possessed gifts far greater than many ever will: a pure and content heart, a gentle spirit, and a contagious enthusiasm for life. His life was not measured by accomplishments or accolades but by the extraordinary amount of love he gave and received. Larry leaves behind a legacy of compassion, innocence and joy especially to those who loved and cared for him over the years.

He was a lifelong Yankees fan, a Beatles aficionado, loved playing records for hours on end, and enjoyed his toy trains. Sharing his love for music he sang at family gatherings warming everyone's heart.

Larry is survived by his soon-to-be 100 year old mother Rosemary Testo Muscatello. He is predeceased by his father Lawrence M. Muscatello and his brother Michael A. Muscatello of Troy. In addition to his mother he is survived by multi generational cousins who loved and adored him, and especially Christine Tanski Taylor who was like a sister to him.
