Leisenfelder, Delores D.

DELMAR- Delores D. (Townsend) Leisenfelder, 85, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was daughter of the late Robert H. and Jeanette (Zimmerman) Townsend. She lived in Albany most of her life. Mrs. Leisenfelder worked for many years for the NYS Office of General Services retiring in 1991.

She was the wife of the late Michael J. Leisenfelder, Jr.; mother of Michael (Kathy) Leisenfelder of Colonie, Janet (Jim) Riley of Selkirk, Karen (Bob) Houle of Altamont, Stephen (Cora) Leisenfelder of Wynantskill, Susan (Brian) McCoy of Albany and James (Amy) Leisenfelder of Loudonville; grandmother of Kristie and Karla (Anthony) Houle, Kimberly Riley, Melissa (Nick) Shelton, Erica, Stephen and Michael Leisenfelder, Shanna (Michael) Cassidy, Carli McCoy, Alex and Ava Leisenfelder; sister of Betty Farrell of Albany, William (JoAnn) Dobeck of Blackstone, MA. and the late Jean Byrne and Robert Townsend; also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany.Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
