Lemme, Jane F.

ALBANY- Jane F. (Serafino) Lemme, 89, died Wednesday, June 01, 2016 after a brief illness at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by her family. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Frances Serafino.

Mrs. Lemme was a devoted wife and mother who was happiest spending time with family and friends. She was a longtime Communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi.

She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Lemme; children Karen (Bob) Carito, Janice Lemme (Lawrence) Schmidt and Dominick Lemme; her grandchildren Marc, Lisa, Kristen and Dominick Jr.; her sister Eleanor Serafino; brother, Patrick (Leona) Serafino; her aunt Margaret DeJohn and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her infant brother Rudolph Serafino.

The family wishes to thank the ER staff and CCU Dept. at St. Peter’s Hospital for their excellent care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:30 am in The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Burial will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. There will be no public calling hours.
