Luther, Donald P.

DELMAR- Donald P. Luther, 86, died peacefully Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center.Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Virginia (Martin) Luther. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Luther worked for Niagara Mohawk for 45 years, retiring in 1993.

He is survived by his wife Constance (Beglin) Luther; children, Nancy Luther of Saratoga Springs, Patrick (Cathy) Luther of Peoria, AZ and Virginia Lawler of Delmar; grandchildren Jessica, Melissa and Abby Lawler; great-grandson Ethan LaBelle; his sister Diane Luther of Cohoes and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings William, Neil, Charlotte and Marilyn.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with his family Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 8:45 am from the funeral home thence to Historic St. Mary's Church on Capitol Hill, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
