Mancuso, Eugene A.

DELMAR- Eugene A Mancuso, 86, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born and educated in New York City he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Squilante) Mancuso.

Mr Mancuso retired several years ago as a partner in Fiberlux Products, Inc. based in Mount Vernon, NY and came to Albany in 1979. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr Mancuso was a former professional baseball player with the New York Giants and coached many sports, most recently as a certified bowling coach at Del Lanes in Delmar. He also helped his son Vincent at his business, Mancuso’s Luncheonette in Delmar.

Husband of the late Adrienne Mancuso; father of Eugene (Debra) Mancuso of Garrison, NY, Anthony (Laura) Mancuso of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Vincent (Dawn) Mancuso of Voorheesville; brother of Gloria Kennedy, Delores Tedesco, Rose Fillippi and the late Edith Heftler, Delia Mancuso, Susanne Delleso, Jean Johnson, Paul Mancuso and Vincent Mancuso; grandfather of Michael, Matthew, Christopher and Renee Mancuso, Brianna and Kayla Heidstra. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Sunday June 19, 2016 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:30 pm in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY.
