ALBANY- David C. Marshall, 57, died peacefully, Friday, January 24, 2014. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Charles and Rosemary Marshall. Dave graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School Class of 1975. He was a longtime employee of the Albany City School district. Dave enjoyed working at Albany’s Holiday Lights in the Park and also at the Center for Disability Services holiday parties. He was an avid golfer and fan of the Yankees and NY Giants. Dave was an animal lover, a devoted friend and was always willing to help others in any way he could.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Romano and daughter Christine (Trevor) Sands. He is the brother of the late Mary Seabridge, Nancy (late Robert) Kenyon, Alma (Robert) Niccoletti, Don (Teresa) Marshall, Gail(Ray) Guajardo, Cheryl (Mark) Rennick, and Barry (Linda) Romano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank their “Framily” at St. Peter’s Hospital McAuley 2 and the staff at the Cancer Care Center for the compassion and care given to Dave during his illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:45 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc, 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Monday, January 27, 2014 from 3-7 pm. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to PAL, 844 Madison Ave., Albany, NY 12208 or to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
