Marshman, Marie K.

GLENMONT- Marie (Klotz) Marshman, 91, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Teresian House.

Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Theodore H. and Florence (Schaffner) Klotz. Marie was a graduate of Albany High School. She married and while raising her children, she studied nursing and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College. She was a registered nurse at the former Child’s Hospital, Albany Medical Center and the Stratton Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Albany.

She enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod and the Adirondacks, knitting and taking photographs, especially of her family.

Marie was the wife of the late Willard L. Marshman; mother of Susan (Richard) Leary, Gayle (Thomas) McLaughlin, David (Christine) Marshman, William Marshman, Robert (Tracey) Marshman and Jeffrey (Michelle) Marshman; sister of the late of Theodore Klotz, Jr. and his late wife, Patricia Klotz; grandmother of Wendy, Brian and Colleen McLaughlin, Diana Young, Sean and Scott Markell, Kevin Leary, Jonathan, Johanna, Rebecca, Hannah, Michael, Kiersten, and Daniel Marshman; great-grandmother of Aidan, Nathan, Paige and Millie; great-great-grandmother of Alyvia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Carolina.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Friday, September 16, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 am prior to the Funeral service at 10: 30 am with Rev. Mark Mueller officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
