Mathias, Claudia M.

ALBANY- Claudia (Mall) Mathias, 92, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her residence. Born and educated in Pakistan where she trained and worked as a midwife for many years before immigrating to the US in 1974 and settling in Albany.

Wife of the late Munir Mathias; mother of Yousaf (Neelam) Mathias and Rosemary (Charles) Williams; grandmother of Jessica and Joseph Mathias, Rexalla and Jonathan Williams; sister of Newton Mall; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00 am in the First Presbyterian Church, 362 State, Albany. Friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Church on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4-6 pm. Relatives are invited from 6-8pm at the Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany. All are invited to a reception at the Church immediately following the burial.
