Molitor, William A. “Billy”

ALBANY- William A. “Billy” Molitor, 62, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Willam and Joan (McConnell) Molitor. Billy graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School Class of 1971 and began his work career of 42 years with Niagara Mohawk at age 19.

He enjoyed his work and many friends at NIMO and later National Grid. Billy’s passion was cooking and grilling for his wife and daughters. He loved family trips to Cape Cod and spending time with friends.He was an avid NY Giants fan and looked forward to his yearly golf trip at Cronins.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia “Patty” (Grady) Molitor; his cherished daughters Bailey Molitor (Corey Whitbeck) of Delmar, Bonnie Molitor (Rob Simon) of Saratoga and Jacquelyn Molitor; his siblings Susan (Jeff) Sheehan, Donna (Osvaldo Priotti) Gentile, Diane (Paul) Kellogg, Patsy (Paul) McGreevy, Joanne (J.P.) Norton and Tommy (Kelly) Molitor; his uncles Eugene (late Marilyn) Molitor and Edward (Tracey Smith) Molitor; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl, Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Church Chapel prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:45 am. Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send donations in memory of Billy to Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
