Monaghan, Robert E. Jr.

ALBANY-Robert E. Monaghan, Jr., 79, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his home.

Born and educated in Childs, PA he was the son of the late Robert E. and Catherine (Krouse) Monaghan, Sr. Mr. Monaghan retired as the speech writer for the Commissioner of the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles after many years of state service. He loved to travel the world and was fluent in many languages.

Survivors include his son, Robert E. (Lorra) Monaghan, III; grandchildren, Meghan and Cody; his siblings, Thomas (JoAnn) Monaghan, Peg Rotundo, Florence (Rod) Collins and Cathy (Bob) Miller; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna (Fuss) Monaghan and his sister, Mary Jean Monaghan.

Funeral services will be private.
