Moore, Raymond W.

SELKIRK – Raymond W. Moore, 72, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 17, 2017 at home. Born in Albany he graduated from Albany High School and Hudson Valley Community College and was the son of the late Raymond Moore and Amy Fernandez. Ray worked as a machinist for General Electric in Schenectady for 35 years retiring in 2003. He was a past member of the Tri-City Yacht Club, and former associate member of the Sheehy Palmer VFW Post 6776. He enjoyed the casinos, long rides in the car listening to old music and his ’57 Pontiac. For many years Ray played Santa Claus for children and families in the Capital District.

Husband of Susan (Palmer) Moore; father of Raymond W. Moore, Jr. of Schenectady and Darcy (Michael) McDonald of New Port Richey, FL; brother of Barbara Vink of Schenectady, George (Julie) Bradt of Clifton Park and Willie Bradt of Schenectady; grandfather of Ashley Moore of Delmar and Joshua Moore of Tennessee; great-grandfather of Kenneth Galloway, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ray’s family on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
