Morin, Leona M. “Lee”

DELMAR- Leona M. “Lee” (Fondry) Morin, 84, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Albany and a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, she was the daughter of the late Donald Fondry, Sr. and Clara Fondry Downs. Mrs. Morin worked for the Stratton VA Medical Center for many years, retiring as an occupational therapy assistant in 1997.

She was a member of the Red Hatters and enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, bowling and writing poetry. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and close friends.

Mrs. Morin was predeceased by her husband of nearly 63 years, William J. Morin and her brother, Donald Fondry, Jr. Survivors include her children, Diane Morin Hechehouche (Yahia) of Ottawa, Ontario Canada, David W. Morin of Guilderland and Daniel R. Morin of Delmar; grandchildren Taralyn Giuffre (Michael), Ryan (Lindsay Buttenschon), Justin, Jacob and Shelby Morin; great granddaughter, Alexandra Giuffre; and her nephew, John Fondry of Cohoes.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Entombment will follow at 12:30 pm in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral Home.
