ALBANY- Alfred T. Motta, 82, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Frank and Eldina (DeStefano) Motta and graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. He attended Dean College in Franklin, MA where he played lacrosse. Mr. Motta served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the NYS Bill Drafting Commission retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service.

He was a Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed spending the month of August at the Saratoga Race Track.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean (Cleary) Motta; children Michelle, Marybeth and Daniel; his sister Anne and his brother Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. Inurnment will follow the Mass in the Mausoleum of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 S Pearl St, Albany, NY 12202.
