ALBANY- On June 16, 2021 Mary Anne C. Murphy went to join God and her beloved Tom in heaven. Mary Anne was the beloved wife of Thomas Murphy and daughter of Donald and Mary (Sharkey) Cooke. She was a graduateof CathedralAcademy. Upon graduation, she worked for the telephone company. After her family was raised, she worked for and retired from NYS Dept of Civil Service. Tom and Mary Anne were one of the original families of Holy Cross. She was a teachers aideand held offices in the Altar Rosary Society, Mercy PTA and Maginn mothers club.
Mary Anne is survived by her marvelous and kind daughters and "sons"Mary Anne and John Farrell, Kathleen and Tim Williams, Rosemary and John Menneto and Patricia and Ray Schaap. Close to her heart were her adored 9 grandchildren, Tricia (Pete), Tom (Lenny), Greg, Ryan (late Alyssa), Caitlin(Michael), Kaile (Zach), Connor (Adrienne), Courtney (Marty) and Taylor (Stephen). Also her beloved 9 great grandchildren Addison, Michael, Landon, Paisley, Martin, Maverick, Lennox, Beckett and Dever.
MaryAnne and Tom spent 36 wonderful andhappy years in Crown Point on Lake Champlain with their extended family and friends The Daniels, Yules, Hamms, Kilchers, Coburns and Sgambellones.
Mary Anne was sister in law to Jack (late Kay) Donohue, Ellen (late Bob) Carruthers, and the late Mary and Lou Goitz, and Theresa Murphy.
She was also survived by her special brothers and sisters Richard and Alice Davidson, Peg (late Joe) Davidson, Frank (late Barbara) Pukis and Susan Allen (Bill Oakes).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 9:30-11:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. prior to her funeral Mass at 12 noon in The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Intermentwill follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
