Nero, Palma “Pam”

LATHAM-Palma “Pam” Nero, died suddenly Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Fortuna (Selveggi) Nero. Pam was a secretary for the New York State Comptroller’s Office for many years. She was also a member of the Colonie Elks.

Longtime companion for many wonderful years of the late John LaMena; sister of the late Mary Rose Soloyna. Pam is survived by her brother-in-law George Solonya of Albany; her niece, Donna (Paul) Spagnola of Delmar; her nephew, Anthony Golden of Watervliet; grandniece, Stacey Lynn Spagnola of Albany and several cousins.

Calling hours for Pam will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Pam and John LaMena will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
