ALBANY- Paul Nettleton, 56, of Albany, died June 22, 2014 at the Albany V.A. Hospital. He proudly served as a US Marine and was awarded many Ribbons with Stars, including the Good Conduct Medal with 3 Stars. Paul was also a member of the VFW Post 1019 and the Elks Club.

Paul also worked at Jonathan’s Pizza and Restaurant for his remaining years and was devoted to the family who owned Jonathan’s.

Paul’s passion for sports could not be surpassed. He loved baseball, football and basketball. He watched all three, whenever possible, and read up on them daily.

Paul is survived by his beloved partner, Tammi Kleinke, of Albany; his sister, Patricia Bodi (Michael), of E. Greenbush, NY; brothers Tom Nettleton (Marcia), of Pottstown, PA and Mark Nettleton (Valerie), of Utica, NY. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Lauretta Hernandez-Gomez, Gail Cady Dames and Lynn Dittmer .

His is also survived by his daughters Becky Nettleton of Puyallup, Washington; Mary Anne Nettleton, Kimberly Nettleton, Paula Nettleton, Crystal Nettleton and Catherine Booth all from Corpus Christi, Texas and his 11 grandchildren.

Paul’s funeral service will be held Saturday, July 12th at 11 am in the Daniel Keenan Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. A Committal service with full military honors will be held Monday, July 14th at 2:30 pm in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
