Nicholson, Larry P.

ALBANY- Larry P. Nicholson, 60, died suddenly Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Manhattan and raised in Albany, he was the son of the late Robert and Gertrude Nicholson. Larry graduated from Albany High School and worked as a Security Guard at the Albany County Nursing Home.

He is survived by his wife Mary Nicholson; children Andrew (Melissa), Maureen (Michael), Lauren (Tom), Meghan, Robert, and Brian; his canine companion Bailey; grandchildren Quentin, Rhiannon, Tommy, Frankie, Ava and Cole; his siblings, Elizabeth Nicholson, Edwina Micare, Robert (Sandy) Nicholson, Ginny (Steve) Ray and Marie (Don) Sticher; his father-in-law Tom (late Joan) Gralton; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9 am in The Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave. Colonie. Burial will be held privately.

Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with his family Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.
