Pastorok, Sue

CITRUS SPRINGS, FL- Sue Pastorok, 94, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 after a short illness. Born in Jessup, PA, she was the daughter of Stephen and Susan Hasizdach Kudritz and grew up in Binghamton, NY.

She was married in Illinois to Peter Pastorok in 1942 and traveled extensively in the U.S. while her husband was in the service. Sue worked for Montgomery Ward prior to working for the NYS Dept. of Tax. and Finance.

She was an avid golfer taught by her husband. She enjoyed golfing with the ladies of the NYS Dept. of Transportation. Sue also loved to garden and could make sticks grow. She enjoyed cooking the traditional family dishes as taught to her by her mother, and handed down to her daughter and grandchildren. She delighted in reading every word of the newspaper, even the obits, and enjoyed shopping; always looking for a sale. Sue was a long time member of the American Legion.

Wife of the late Peter Pastorok; mother of June (Thomas) Johnson of FL; grandmother of Colleen Burton of GA, Judson (Catherine) Cross of NJ, Peterson (Maria) Cross of NY and Michael (Mara) Johnson of NY; great-grandmother of Tre’shell and Micayla Burton, Judson, Morgan and Clayton Cross, Gianni Pistoia and the soon to be born Annaleec Cross. Also survived by nephews Anthony (Joni) Buchta, Ronald (Patty) Pechanek, Allen (Beverly) Kishpaugh, John and Vince Kudritz and nieces Michealene (Kelly Kokkonen) Delmage, Joann Kudritz, many great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Ann (John) Pechanek, Helen (William)Rudy, Irene (Tony) Buchta, Pauline (Paul) Kishpaugh; and brothers Steve (Marie) and Edward (Marge) Kudritz all of the Binghamton area and by her nephews David (Tina) Rudy, Donald (Barbara) Rudy, Steve (Carol), Dennis, and Kenneth (Sherrie Travers) Kudritz.

To celebrate her life, friends and family are asked to wear pink, her favorite color, to the services. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, on Tuesday, February 18 2014 from 4-7pm. Interment Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
