Glenmont – Pauline A. (Morisseau) Covey, 93, went home to her Lord on February 12, 2026. Born in Burlington VT, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose Ann (Willett) Morisseau. Pauline was raised by loving Sisters of Providence at St Joseph’s Orphanage, where she learned the love of God and caring for children. Pauline graduated from St Ann’s Academy in Albany and soon after met the love of her life, Walter E. Covey; they were married 50 years and raised three children at their home in Selkirk and on the shores of the Great Sacandaga. Before his passing in 2002, Walt and Pauline enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and fishing together at the lake as the sun set.
Pauline was a homemaker and worked for the RCS School district. She loved gardening and baking and was known by many as “Mrs. Cookie,” and to many, many others as Nana and Nana Great. Pauline was known for her love of family and friends, her kindness and humor, her humility and service to others.
Pauline is predeceased by her sister Ceceil Gervais and brothers Albert, Leo, and Robert Morisseau. She is survived by her sister Marion Gorecki; her children James (James Zabawa) Covey, David (the late Judy Wood) Covey, Debra Covey Relyea (Frederic) Dailey; her grandchildren Melanie (Scott) Potter, Danielle Relyea (Craig Johndrow), Jessica (Michael) Riggins, Nicholas (Kelly) Covey; and great-grandchildren Alex, Kaden, & Jesiah Potter; Riley & Liliana Swisher, Nora & Parker Riggins, Colin & Rowan Covey.
Family, friends and faith were everything to Pauline, as attested by her nieces and nephews and extended family members; the folks at VanAllen’s Senior Apartments, and the members of the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem.
