Pickard, Maryanne C.

AVERILL PARK – Maryanne C. (Black) Pickard, 42, died Saturday, January 28, 2017 after a 7 year battle with breast cancer. Born in Medina, NY she graduated from Albany High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Maryanne worked for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance for many years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Maryanne enjoyed spending time with her daughter and will always be remembered for her commitment to others.

She is survived by her father William H. Black; her husband Donald Pickard and their daughter Alyssa K. Pickard; her brothers David Black and Davey Vosburg; sister-in-law Jenet Behan and her husband Thomas and son Jack; her dear friend and Alyssa’s godfather David Cartwright; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Sylvia and her special friend “Aunt” Sue Nelson.

The family wishes to thank NYOH and Albany Medical Center for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5-8 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Her Funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10:00 am in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Avenue, Delmar, 12054. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
