Pomakoy, Robert W.

GLOVERSVILLE- Robert W. Pomakoy, 83, died Thursday, December 06, 2012 after a brief illness. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Reinisch) Pomakoy.

Mr. Pomakoy was a Stevedore at the Port of Albany for over 40 years.

He was husband of the late Joan Anne (Schwind) Pomakoy; father of Barbara Jo (Allen) Estes of Gloversville and Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Derocher of E. Greenwich, RI; brother of Joseph, Gerald, James and William Pomakoy, Regina Glasser, Joan Pomakoy, Barbara Mahar, Maryann Weidman, Judy Pomakoy and the late Margaret Ludwick, Andrew and Francis Pomakoy; grandfather of Brian (Lisa) Barde, Michelle (Kevin) Sanford and Chloe Derocher; great-grandfather of Brandon and Logan Barde and Audra Mary Sanford; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 9:45 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home, Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3-6 pm. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
