Putman, Gilford

Albany- Gilford Putman, 56, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born April 16, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Dorothy Mae Ricketts and Alexander Link. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Israel Putman and his grandson Zephaniah Easley.

Survivors include his daughter, Shaqueena Putman; two grandchildren, Laciais Easley and Ithanaya Maye; three sisters, Constance Dabbs, Katrina Woodhouse and Diane Putman-Marshall (Bruce); a brother, Michael Putman (Violet); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Gilford was a giving and hard working man that would do anything for anyone…. He worked for several years at Price Chopper and also for Labor Ready. He enjoyed riding his bike and being outdoors.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany with Pastor Kimberly C. Hall of the Lords House of Deliverance Baptist Church officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the start of the service.
