Reith, Francis J. Sr.

ALBANY- Francis J. “Frank” Reith Sr., 87, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late John and Sarah (Ford) Reith and graduated from the former St. Ann’s.He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.As a young man Frank worked as a driver and later as a custodian for the Albany Public School system.He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Sheehy Palmer VFW Post and the former Bucci McTague American Legion Post.Frank enjoyed working on cars and shooting pool. He was also an avid fan of the NY Yankees.

He is husband of 63 years of Marie (Viglucci) Reith; father of Carolyn Reith, Francis (Karen) Reith, Jr., Cheryl (late Raymond) Pelton and Thomas Reith;

Grandfather of Adam and Brian Reith, Matthew, James and Andrew Pelton; Brother of James (Pat) Reith, Jean Vaughn and the late John Reith, Veronica “Sis” Devine, Anna Fredericks, Eileen Commerford, William Reith and Marion Allison;

also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8:45 am Saturday, November 21, 2015 from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
