Richardson, Dennis J.

ALBANY- Dennis J. Richardson, 68, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2017.

He was the son of the late Joseph Richardson and Ida Richardson Dodge. Dennis graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree and attended graduate school there as well.He played baseball for SUNY Albany and football for the Albany Metro Mallers.

Dennis held several professional positions for the NYS Department of Health until retiring in 2010, after 42 years of service.He had tremendous love for animals and often provided veterinary care for strays. He especially loved vacationing in Cape May, NJ.

Dennis leaves behind his loving partner of 40 years, Margaret A. Fross, and his two cherished cats, Orbit and Serena.He is also survived by Susan (Bruce) Parker, Patricia (Louis) LeFevre, Joan Carpenter, Jean Myers and Barbara (John) Mazzone, and many special nieces and nephews, Jessica (Chris) Brown and their children Reagan, Adelaide and Parker, Jonathan (Poulomi) Parker and their daughter Priya, Jason (Shana) Parker, Jameson (Jamie) Parker, Brandon LeFevre and Jillian LeFevre.

Dennis will always be remembered for his compassion and generosity.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dennis' family Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Albany. A service will follow at 3:30 p.m.
