RAVENA- Rosemary Thomas (Caruso) Rimmer, 83, passed away April 8th, 2026. She was born on August 20, 1942 to Sara (Piazza) Caruso and Anthony Caruso in Albany, NY.
In 1958, Rosemary met Bill at St. John’s High School. The couple married in 1963 and went on to have four children- Bill, Stacey, Kara, and Mike.
Rosemary worked as a crossing guard until her children went off to school. She then worked at Albany City Hall in vital statistics. Above all, her most important titles were mother and grandmother. When she retired, she cared for her grandchildren until school age and on summer breaks.
Rosemary appreciated life’s little joys of reading outside in the sun, completing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and spending time with her beloved family and friends. Later in life, she enjoyed weekly breakfasts in her home with family as well as lunch outings with extended family.
Rosemary is predeceased by her parents, Anthony Caruso and Sara (Piazza) Caruso; and her husband, William “Bill” Rimmer. She is remembered and survived by her brothers Anthony Caruso(Sharon) and Thomas Caruso(Lena); her brother-in-law, Alan Rimmer; her four children, Bill Rimmer(Tracie), Stacey Jesmain, Kara Neubauer(Joe), and Mike Rimmer(Josh); her grandchildren, Sarah Richichi (Sean), Katrina Neubauer, Joseph Neubauer Jr., and Michael Carofano; several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as grand dogs and cats.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 12, 2026 at 3 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Rosemary's family on Sunday at the funeral home from 1- 3 pm.
