Russ, Elizabeth P.

ALBANY- Elizabeth (Perry) Russ, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 05, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Henry Perry and Winifred Anderson. Mrs. Russ was a graduate of the former Vincentian Institute class of 1943 and the College of St. Rose. She was a registered nurse at many area hospitals throughout her nursing career. Mrs. Russ also worked as a nurse in Maine, Virginia and Boston. She was a longtime communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi (formerly St. Catherine of Siena Church).

She was predeceased by her husband Donald M. Russ. Survivors include her children; Martin P. (Patty) Russ of Colonie, Karen R. Collen of Delmar, Brian M. Russ of Glenville, and Mary Anne (Douglas) Grice of Niskayuna; her sister Anne McCaffrey of Albany and brother, David Perry of Cape Elizabeth, ME, She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law Sheila Drake, daughter-in-law Carolyn Carson and her son-in-law Rick Collen.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Friday, December 8, from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 9 at 9:30 am in The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
