Sharer, Thomas L.

ALBANY- Thomas L. Sharer, 77, died peacefully Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Loretta Culnan and Harold Sharer.

Tom worked for the US Postal service as a mail handler for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He later worked part time as a consierge at Atria Crossgates .He was a Communicant of All Saints Catholic Church, formerly Holy Cross Parish.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Agnes (DePasquale) Sharer; his children Lori Wing (Steven), Annmarie Clark (George) and Thomas Sharer (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Wing, Alexis, Taylor and Jordan Clark, Ryan, and Natalie Sharer; siblings, Harold Sharer (Charlene) and Carol Ann Caiazza (Rudy); his brother-in-law John (Dawn) DePasquale, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, John and Santa DePasquale and his brother Joseph Sharer.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Charles Trout and his staff. A special thank you to Dr. Sergio Rapasarda and nurses Mary and Linda of Albany Associates-Cardiology for their outstanding care.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with his family on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS on Western Ave.) Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
