ALBANY- John F. Shepardson, 92, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Teresian House.

Born in Clinton, MA, son of the late Arioul and Elizabeth (Jennings) Shepardson, he was a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. Mr. Shepardson was a WWII Army Air corps Veteran. He was a supervisor with Oscar Myers, Tobin Packing and retired from John Morrell Company in 1986. He was a longtime communicant of the former St. Teresa of Avila Church, Albany.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Jordan) Shepardson; sons John (late Claudia) Shepardson, Jr., Michael J. (Chris) Shepardson, Thomas A. (Donna) Shepardson and daughter, Elizabeth J. (Jeffrey) Sumner; grandchildren Beth and John (Ashley) Shepardson, III, Ben, Rose and Jordan (Bridgette) Shepardson, Tommy, Kelsey and Katie Shepardson, Claire, Michael and Connor Sumner; great-grandchildren Andrew, Theodore, Charles, Zachary and Winnifred Shepardson. He was predeceased by his brothers Arioul, Charles and Harry Shepardson, sisters; Rose Joyce, Grace Kerrigan and Ida Rotti.

A special thank you to the Sisters and staff at the Teresian House, especially the second floor staff for their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11 am in the Infant of Prague Chapel of the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Teresian House prior to the Mass from 10 am. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster, MA.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Teresian House.
