Shepardson, Mary M.

ALBANY- Mary M. Shepardson, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Teresian House. Born in Marlboro, MA the daughter of Lester and Ann (Corbley) Jordan she graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Worcester, MA. Mrs. Shepardson was a registered nurse at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany for 38 years, retiring in 1986. She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Teresa of Avila Church.

She was the wife of the late John F. Shepardson. Survivors include her sons; John F. (late Claudia) Shepardson, Jr., Michael J. (Chris) Shepardson, Thomas A. (Donna) Shepardson and daughter, Elizabeth J. (Jeffrey) Sumner; grandchildren Beth and John F. Shepardson, III, Ben, Rose and Jordan Shepardson, Tommy, Kelsey and Katie Shepardson, Claire, Michael and Connor Sumner; great grandchildren Andrew, Theodore, Charles, Zachary and Winnie Shepardson. She was predeceased by her brother Lester Jordan and her sister Laurel Jordan Tagg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated SaturdayDecember 19, 2015 at 11 am in the Infant of Prague Chapel at the Teresian House. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family in the Williamsburg Room from 10 am prior to the Mass.

Interment will be Monday in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster, MA. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12203.
