ALBANY-Rebecca L. “Becky” Snide, 21, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Albany Medical Center after battling a life long illness. Born in Albany and a graduate of Albany High School, she was the beloved daughter of Susan (Taber) Snide and the late Edward Snide. Becky enjoyed spending time with family, especially being a big sister to her beloved little brother, “Ner”. Her other interests included caring for others, especially her nephew Xander, caring for her beloved pets, watching movies, listening to music, especially “Lincoln Park”, baking and going to the Great Escape. An avid book reader, Becky often impressed others with her large collection of books and her extensive vocabulary. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her for her larger than life personality, infectious smile and laughter.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her brother, Connor Snide; maternal grandmother, Carol Taber; paternal grandparents, Carol and Arnold Snide; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, William Taber.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany from 4 to 7 p.m. All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank the staff of the PediatricPulmonary Clinic at Albany Medical Center, as well as the MICU staff for their loving care.
