ALBANY- Anne (Toole) Stallmer, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Teresian House. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Anne (Sheeran) Toole and graduated from the former Vincentian Institute and the College of St. Rose.Mrs. Stallmer was a registered nurse at Child’s Nursing Home for many years and later with the Albany County Department of Social Services, retiring in 1999. She was a longtime Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the church Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her husband Merritt L. “Knute” Stallmer and her brother Rev. James E. Toole. She is survived by her children Daniel F. (Kathleen) Stallmer, James G. (Darlene) Stallmer, Mary A. (Paul) Craig, Kathleen (late Thomas) Rankin, Julie A. (Tony) Cleghorn and Therese M. (Martin) Dale; her brother Edward F. Toole; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the entire Teresian House staff for the loving and tender care provided to Anne throughout her stay.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, at 8:15 am from the funeral home thence to Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. Albany, NY 12206.
