Stanczik, Linda S.

ALBANY- Linda S. Stanczik, 65, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness.Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Cooley) Stanczik.Linda worked for NYSUT for 27 years retiring in 2013 as a regional staff director of the Capital District Regional Office. Prior to her employment at NYSUT, Linda was always devoted to education; working in the Mohonasen School district, the NYS Department of Correctional Services and at P.E. F as director of field services. She served on the boards of Wiawaka and Two Together in Lake George and was a Communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi.

Linda is survived by her partner, Jeannette Reheuser of Albany; her sister Jill (John) Wessely of Wilmington, NC; nieces Cathleen (Eric) Helin of Baltimore, MD and, Laura (Jake) Krantz of Raleigh, NC; her grandniece Maeve Helin and several cousins, her aunt and uncle and her beloved pets.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany, 12208. Burial at a later date will take place at the convenience of the family.
