Talbot Smith, Carol

ALBANY- Carol Talbot Smith peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Carol was born in Albany and grew up on Myrtle Ave. She spent 45 years of her life with her loving, caring and devoted husband Earl. Carol was a registered nurse for 47 years and worked at the Albany Medical Center for 40 years. In her free time, she enjoyed vacationing with her family, taking walks, shopping and spending time with her close friends and family. Carol was a sweet, caring, loving, gracious and generous individual.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Smith; son, Shawn Smith and his wife Shannon; her grandson Landon Smith;

sister, Joan (Dix) Colbert of South Carolina and brother Robert Talbot of Colonie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews and friends.

A special thanks to family, friends, and the Hospice of Albany County for their efforts to help Carol and her family throughout this journey.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 8:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to All Saints Catholic Church, Western Ave. at Homestead St. (formerly St. Margaret Mary Church) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 4-8 pm. Burial will be held privately at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
