Talbot, Robert J.

COLONIE- Robert J. Talbot, 73, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Edward and Madeline (Betzwieser) Talbot. Bobby graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School and attended college in Alabama. He worked for the NYS Department of Labor for many years. Bobby was an avid NY Yankee fan, gardener and collector. He was a proud grand “Pop-Pop” who enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Matthew Talbot and daughter Suzanne Talbot both of Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Jack, Abigail, Mason and Jaxson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Joan Colbert and Carol Talbot Smith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 8:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead and Western Ave. behind the CVS at 9:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with the family Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 3-6 pm in the funeral home.
