Thomas, Girdie M.

ALBANY-Girdie M. (Fulton) Thomas, 75, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born and educated in Ridgeland, SC she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Scott) Fulton. She had lived in the Albany area since 1959.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, James Pettigrew. Survivors include two daughters; Mary L. Williams and Lea-Jay Martin; a son, Aaron Scott; a brother, Charles Fulton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilborn Temple First Church of God in Christ, 121 Jay Street, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Church on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Belle Ave., Troy.
