Van Buren, Iris

VOORHEESVILLE – Iris (Bulson) Van Buren, entered peacefully into God’s loving arms at home on Friday, March 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and educated in Troy, one of eleven children to Ira and Edith Bulson. Mrs. Van Buren lived most of her life in Voorheesville and was a long time member of the Voorheesville United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time decorating their home and tending her gardens.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James V. Van Buren; children Karen (Michael) Rutnik, James (Patricia) Van Buren III, Tammy (Clifford) Chase and Sandra (David) Shepard; also her many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.

Her Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10 am in the funeral home. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church, 68 Maple Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12168.

Spring Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery, Brunswick.
