ALBANY- Ann Loretta (Welch) Vink, 85, entered into Eternal rest Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Teresian House surrounded by her loving children. Born in Troy, daughter of the late Clarence P. and Anna L. Bulson Welch, she moved to Albany and lived there her entire life. She was a graduate of Albany High School. Her first job was in John G. Myers store in downtown Albany. After her children were grown, she took a job in the accounting department of NY Telephone Company in Menands.She loved her job and worked there for 21 years until she retired to care for her elderly mother. She was a Communicant of St. James Church for over 50 years where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Along with her husband Doug, she was an active member of the VFW Sheehy Palmer Post #6776. Mrs. Vink was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Telephone Pioneers of America and CWA. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Europe, Monte Carlo, Aruba, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.Mrs. Vink was an avid crafter and enjoyed crocheting. She loved to decorate her home, cook and bake. Her humble, warm and caring personality endeared her to all who knew her. She truly was generous and kind and opened her door and heart to everyone.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Douglas J. Vink and her beloved brother Clarence P. Welch, Jr. “C”. Survivors include her devoted children Laurie Ann (Vink) Rickson, Keith D. Vink (Julie Oppedisano Wilson) and Janet J. Vink; grandchildren Derek Fordley, Jason Fordley, Michael D. Rickson, Monica Vink and Lauren Vink; step-grandchildren Shawn, Darren and Dan Rickson; great-grandchildren Ryan Latinville, Lauren Latinville and Sienna Fordley; step-great-grandchildren Katie and Camryn Rickson; also survived by her sister-in-law Agnes Welch and dear, lifelong friend and neighbor Mary Dolan.

The family would like to thank the nurses and care staff of the Teresian House, 3B for their loving care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 9:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4-7 pm. Interment 12:30 pm, Thursday in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
