DELMAR – Estelle (Dutton) Wall, 90, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Estelle was born in Boston in 1926. She graduated from high school at age 15. At age 18 graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in applied science (engineering) in 1943. She worked for Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, CT as an engineer on fighter airplane engines and then moved to Cambridge, MA where she met her future husband, James Wall. They were married in 1948.

Estelle had a distinguished career as a senior health care systems analyst for the NYS Department of Health for 25 years before retiring in 1990.

She had been a longtime Communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church an avid traveler, and much loved mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother and good friend to many. She had been an active volunteer with Two Together, the Albany Symphony Vanguard and the AAUW.

She was predeceased by her husband James C. Wall and their son Stephen. She is survived by her four children Janet Wall (Scott Wyner) of Brooklyn, NY, David Wall (Patricia Mayberry) of Port Chester, NY, Christopher Wall (Laura) of Delmar, and Lucy Wall (Stephen Reilly) of Lexington, MA; grandchildren Daniel Wyner, Elizabeth Wyner, Mackenzie Wall, Katherine Reilly, Celeste Phillips, Anne Reilly and Vivian Wall; also several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 21, 2016 at 9:30 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Northfield, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2-5 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to Two Together (a tutoring program for Albany Public school students) P.O. Box 1397, Albany, NY 12201-1397.
