ALBANY-Linda M. (Turner) Wedenbine, 66, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in Albany and a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Marie R. (Atkinson) Turner, Jr. Linda was a human resources administrator for Parson’s Child and Family Center for more than 20 years, retiring in 2013.
She was a lifetime member of the Sheehy Palmer VFW Post 6776 and served as Albany County Auxiliary President. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and the Good Shepherd Associates. Linda enjoyed crafting, karaoke and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Walter W. Wedenbine, III and Audrey L. Wedenbine;grandchildren, Jordan and Jameson Wedenbine; sisters, Merril-Lee (“Joe”) Lenegar and Barbara L. Turner; husband, Walter W. Wedenbine, Jr.; sister-in-law, Nancy Richards; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George H. Turner, III and his wife Nettie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 57 Hurlbut St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m.
