Wedenbine, Walter W. Jr.

ALBANY- Walter W. Wedenbine, Jr. 78, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Albany Memorial Hospital.Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Irene (Roehr) Wedenbine, Sr. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. Walter retired in 2000 from AlBank formerly Albany Savings Bank as a bank auditor after 40 plus years of service.He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and the American Institute of Banking. Walter was an avid bowler and a lifetime fan of the NY Yankees and Syracuse University sports teams.He was a season ticket holder and member of the booster club of the Albany Devils hockey team.

Survivors include his son Walter W. Wedenbine III and daughter Audrey Wedenbine both of Albany; his sister Nancy Richards of Schodack; beloved grandchildren Jordan and Jameson Wedenbine; sisters-in-law Barbara L. Turner and Merril-Lee (“Joe”) Lenegar; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Linda (Turner) Wedenbine and brother Carl D. Wedenbine.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 4-7 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Interment will be in the Spring in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery.
