ALBANY- Anna M. (Kraft) Welter, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna (O’Sullivan) Kraft. She was a graduate of Philip Schuyler Senior High School. Mrs. Welter served as a church secretary and also worked as an accounting clerk for the American Red Cross. She was a longtime active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Church choir. She volunteered at Albany Medical Center and at Historic Cherry Hill.

She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Welter; mother of John J. (Gail), William E. and James M. (Brenda); grandmother of Katharine E. (Michael) Goot, and Laura A. (Eric) Greenaway; great-grandmother of Elena and Braelyn Greenaway; sister of the late Joan Collen, William and Edward Kraft; also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews and her beloved feline companion, Smokey.

Anna and her family would like to thank all the friends, neighbors, acquaintances and family whose help and support were greatly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of The Holy Spirit, 57 Hurlbut St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Historic Cherry Hill, 523 South Pearl St. Albany, NY 12202 or to your favorite charity in memory of Anna M. Welter.
