William H. DeLaMater Sr.

SELKIRK- William H DeLaMater Sr., age 81,of Selkirk NY, passed away on April 22, 2026 peacefully in his home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was surrounded by his family.

Bill, as he liked to be called, was born on February 1, 1945 in Albany NY.

He attended Christian Brothers Academy High School, and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Bill retired from CSX Railroad, where he worked as a manager for most of his career. He is predeceased by his father, Henry DeLaMater, and mother Loretta (McDougall) DeLaMater.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Patricia DeLaMater, his children, Tammy DeLaMater, William DeLaMater Jr., Gina and Jeremy Huntsman, his sister Joanne Glassbrenner, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Bill's family on Wednesday April 29, 2026 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
